Cool–you’ve got a good sales party booked. You must be sure to get people together to show them your products. This is the backbone of the party plan business (hence, the name party plan). Do a few simple things to make the hostess feel special!

Priority: Make your hostess feel grand. Give her special gifts during the show (one at the start, middle and end). Be sure to offer her extra special discounts on her “chosen” products, too.

Be sure to let all the other guests know that if they book a show with you before the show is over they will also receive the same discount you are giving the hostess on anything they order both that night and the night of their show.

When you give you potential hostess her hostess packet ask them for a guest list to be given to you within 3-4 days, and write that date on the guest list so she/he remembers. You can have her mail it to you and then you can send the invitations and confirm with guests or have her send the invitations and confirm.

Having a copy of the guest list will serve two purposes: You can have more control and actually call, confirm and remind the guests about the party. You’ll also have the list in case anyone cannot attend. They immediately become new leads for you to market to in the future!

Confirm with guests at least 48 hours in advance. You can also send email reminders the day before and the day of the party. Be sure you remind them a couple of times so there is no valid excuse of “I forgot about it!”

One way to make your hostess feel amazingly special is to offer her (and only her) a GREAT discount or buy one, get one offer on one or two of the products she wants the most. Anyone eyeing an expensive item in your catalog will get the same deal (make it known), so getting bookings should be easier!
