Congratulations, you decided to set yourself up in business as an independent distributor for an mlm company. A lot of people now sit back and wait for the money to flow in.

Not so fast my friend. The thing about being your own boss and reaping all those great perks is that you actually have to work for it. A business model that claims you can make $10,000/month by working 5 hours a day might be accurate but only after you’ve invested the time to learn your craft. It’s unlikely to happen in the first two months.

It’s great to believe that easy money is available and by the way it can be but you’ve got to put in some work first.

The difference between people who enjoy the financial and personal freedom of being their own boss and the ones who fail is the sweat equity they are willing to put into the venture.

Money’s a great motivator but if you’re only in the business for cash, experience shows it will be a tough road. Craving money and success in business rarely go hand in hand.

Conversely, if you have gone through the steps and chosen to market a product you have genuine passion for, there’s every reason to believe, you’ll be super successful.

Think of it this way; you are a door to door salesperson charged with the task of selling staplers. You hate staplers but if you can sell 200 of them you’ll make your quota. You try everything you can to convince the customer that they need the stapler but you have limited success.

Why? Because you have no passion for staplers. Some people can muster up passion for anything and may even think that staplers are the most amazing invention known to man. However, most of us are not that gifted and need to find something that we can be proud of to sell.

Make sure that when you decide what you want to sell or what MLM you want to affiliate yourself with, it’s something you can get your heart and soul behind.

When you have a passion for a product your enthusiasm is contagious and the people you’re selling to will pick up on that.

Genuine enthusiasm will also cause you to become your own greatest source of marketing and advertising. Enthusiasm creates a wave of interest. You talk and your enthusiasm gets other people talking.

It doesn’t matter if it’s traditional marketing or direct sales in multilevel marketing from home, it’s all about connections. The better you are at it, the more successful you’ll be. Learning to introduce people to your product or service is vital and once you become comfortable with it, the more successful you’ll become as an entrepreneur. All the best to you.
